Hi Prensel,

I have installed a brusa nlg513 as an addon charger into my nissan e-nv200 van to double the charge rate to 32 amps, it works very well indeed.

I programmed my own profile to be honest, nothing complicated, bulk charged all the way to the set voltage and then switched off the charger.

When monitoring my van charging with leafspy, i could see the van charging at max capacity to about 90% chage level before the charge current tailed off towards the end of charge.

The cells in the van (which are exactly the same as leaf cells) charge to about 4.14v absolute maximum.

When i installed leaf cells into a prius plug in conversion, i charged them to 4.1v and used that as my max, well inside the parameters nissan use.

Hope this helps.

Hi Paul,

great to hear youve set up your charger, they are great chargers.

I trie to set mine up originally in mimic mode, where the original in car charger AC wires were wired in bypass mode through the brusa, thei idea here is the brusa monitors and reads the current the oem charger is taking and gives out the exact same current.
Sadly, in my case, my charger didnt like to run in this mode, to i reverted to a charge profile of my own parameters, basically i monitored the oem charger charging via leafspy and installed the same parameters into the chargestar software, bulk charged a few times to make sure it was all working ok, then just let it run.
Been working fine for over 18 months, this was a 2010 brusa charger that was 2nd hand that i picked up from the forums.
