I just purchased a 2003 Mitsubishi Diamante to convert into an electric vehicle.
How would you suggest I start? I don't have auto mechanics experience, but I know people who do.
$15k is my budget

Batteries to use in the finished project, last of all
Use a cheap-as-possible testing pack, same voltage but very limited range

No performance or range specs, so you can easily stay inside a $15k budget - the only constraint that was stated.
Diamante is front wheel drive. Easy conversion!
