Hi,

I really want the LG Chem 16S battery modules. They come in the Chrysler Pacifica but people do not seem to crash them often enough :) so they are hard to find.

Here for a mere $9,335.10, I can throw it in my shopping cart. The system is 360 Volts, so 6 of the 60 volt modules. $1,559 per module- ouch.

I wonder if they would let you do that.

My guess is yes, but policies vary by company. Tesla certainly wouldn't sell you a component like this without owning a Tesla, but auto parts in general are available to anyone who wants to buy them.

The cost per unit of energy storage is much better for larger batteries than with these small PHEV models, but you need to fit your requirements.

I asked my parts counter guy before the fire fiasco. GM parts was selling the Bolt EV battery, unlike the assclowns at Tesla at the time and he said all I needed to do was pay upfront for the part.

iirc, it was $15k, which is $250/kWhr. GM bragged in the press that they were getting them for under $100, which pissed LG off.

I didn't bother asking my Ford parts guy about Mach-E when I was looking at Eluminator motors through him. Maybe EV Veronika has looked into new ones from Ford?

I have two Pacifica Hybrid packs available. They disassemble into two very nice 180V sub-packs measuring approx 8x16x28”, including the base mounting flanges (all on a flat plane). These 3-module sub packs are better than re-packaging individual modules if you can fit em intact. These are straight outta the vans, no reuse yet, resting at 170V. I can EVen ship a full pack in an OEM weathertight plastic palletainer. Located near Seattle, DM if you’d like to purchase.
