You're correct that it's like a big resistor. Polarity shouldn't matter. At least it didn't matter with the ceramic-core heaters I modified.
Ceramic heater wiring to the HV pack
hi all! A quick question -- are ceramic heaters directional? In other words, can either wire be used on the positive side of the High Voltage pack?
My CanEV heater has a white and black wire -- I just realized I wired the black wire to my HV negative, and the white wire to the HV positive. But, I think I have that backwards…and before I kick it on, I want to make sure it will work ok. I'm guessing the heater is just a big resistor, and it won't matter on the direction….but I'm new to this stuff.
