Chargepoint core control

Hello, I recently acquired a Coulomb Technologies (Chargepoint) charger core for $40 but it lacks a controller. (These were originally designed to go into public stations so the controller it normally works with would likely do more than I need.) I have Googled around and not found any answers or suggestions on how to make this unit work for me. Has anyone found a workaround for this? My Mitsubishi has an onboad controller and can take whatever this can deliver so I'm not worried about it...but getting the charger to actually turn on & deliver juice is where I'm stuck.
