I am looking at building an EV kit and am currently planning parts.
I've decided to use triphase AC charging from a CCS2 socket.
But for my OBC (I'm looking at an Ovar OBC+DC-DC converter Combo), it says that the input must be single phase AC.
I'm guessing this is pretty standard elecrical knowledge, but is there a way to wire the three phase AC current from the socket into single phase?

A type 2 socket contains 4 wires:
Neutral (always connected)
Line 1 (always connected)
Line 2 (only connected when plugged into a 3-phase supply)
Line 3 (only connected when plugged into a 3-phase supply)

If you have a 3-phase charger, you can use all 3 phases L1, L2, and L3, but with a single phase charger, you can only use the first phase. Connect it to neutral and line1. You will be able to draw 6.6kW from a 32A supply or 3.3kW from a 16A supply, and it will work on both 3 phase and single phase supplies.

To do 3-phase charging, you would need a 3 phase charger, but in general you won't see much benefit.
