Hello everyone.

Just another newbie question. Is there a reason I always see controllers mounted under the hood? That and things like the DC-DC converter? Is it a heat thing or a safety thing or just an aesthetics thing? I can see the charger being mounted in the trunk. It seems most people use the gasoline filler door for the charger plug and they are usually in the rear. I think some of the controllers look "cool" and could draw attention and open dialog on your EV if they could be seen without having to open the hood.

There is probably a simple answer that I hadn't considered.

Thanks.
