Hi! I have a very big project where i need to convert a diesel bus to electric. If i can manage to make it work, i can secure orders for 50-200 more buses. Currently im talking with Shinegle, CETL and Hepu power on some 150KW PMSM motors and controllers, but i would love to know if anyone has any experience with these 3 brands or can recommend me better ones. Would hate to purchase something and then come across alot of issues down the road. If anyone also has done a similiar project id love to discuss some more questions.

There are bus conversion threads on this forum, so search them out. I'm not sure anybody has completed one.

You WILL have a lot of issues. That's a given with the application.

If you have to run a full 8 hour shift, you'll need to carry a LOT of EXPENSIVE battery.

These are school buses so it will most likely be used for 2 hour shifts daily. But i need a reliable manufacturer for the motor and controller. Knowing ill probably have many issues as you said, i wanna try and keep it at a minimum

There are many. One of the original Tesla founders is refitting garbage trucks at Wrightspeed.

A school bus has an interesting mission profile. Needs a bunch of battery, but only runs a couple of hours a day.

Its greatest impact will be as a grid storage element, which can mothball or reduce dependence on methane peaker plants. This is why I said it's essential to include vehicle to grid (CheDeMo ?) capability in them - they can actually MAKE money, net.

I'd go with a Tesla Motor (direct drive) and open source Inverter/Controller....Supercapacitors can reduce substantially the Battery size with full-scale regen.

Ran into this for less than 500 USD...

There are bus scrapyards that have bus sized drive systems because someone has deal with wrecked and totaled busses. Ditto for assorted companies dealing with electric delivery vans. Like Remy said, teslas just wont cut it for very long. High peak power is very different from continuous high power.
