Ok, you have not done your math homework, so I will set the problem up for you. Assume a vehicle is going to use 10% of its weight (in pounds) in Watt-hours per mile. Assume a solar panel can deliver 15 watts per square foot, and that in a sunny climate you will get 5 hours of full power charging per sunny day. Assume that batteries will cost you from 100 to 300 dollars per kwh. I am going to ignore the gas generator idea, because if you follow that to its conclusion, you will see that what you have invented is.... a wildly inefficient gas vehicle.

So, now plug in how far you want to go, how much you expect to spend, and how long it will take your solar panels to refill your batteries. If everyone else who has had this idea is any indication, the reality will disappoint you.
