I ordered one single CALB cell 11/02/2010
Payment via PayPal, so the money got quick to Current EV Tech.

After a month I got nervous and asked via e-mail about the status of my order - no reply!:confused:
Two weeks later i asked again - no reply!:(
I canceld my order and wanted my money back - no reply!:mad:
One week ago I ask again - no reply!:mad:
I took the forum-message system to write to Dave - no reply!:mad:

This is a very dubious attitude and in my opinion beguilement!

Please be careful with Dave Kois and Current EV Tech!
It costs me $232.60 to find out that there are black sheeps in the flock.

I just sent you a PM. I will make sure this is taken care of ASAP. I did not recieve your emails and thought you had already recieved the battery as it was supposed to be shipped directly to you.

I am having a similar experience with Current EV Tech. I ordered a license plate holder for a Tesla over 3 weeks ago. I got 2 automated confirmations of my order a few days later, and have not heard anything since.:mad:
I have sent two emails and left 4 phone messages on two different phone numbers. Neither my emails, nor phone calls, have been returned.:mad:
It is a shame that someone who caters to this small, close-knit community would not even return a phone call.:mad:
HMMMM certainly not looking good. Could people let us know if these issues are in fact resolved or not.

If so, let us know how you got on and what happened.
If not, let us know the steps you took.
People can make up their own minds but remember there are 2 sides to every story.
I got a refund by post(check), so I got the majority of costs back.
Currency conversions, back fee, took about $35 Dollars, so I lost 15%.
I will post it here, if I hear from them.

Thats not cool, did they advise on the site (or however you ordered) that there may be a backorder situation or anything? Not cool to say you have something when you dont.

Do they typically indent order and your order wasnt viable for them?

Be interesting to know, anyhow its good to hear you are not too far out of pocket, will keep eye on thread to see second outcome.
The delivery time was about a few weeks ... might look at the correspondence.

There is a disclaimer on the website now:
"We do not currently have any CALB cells in stock in our U.S. warehouse. We are in the process of bringing in a large order to stock the warehouse. For the current lead time please contact us."

That's OK. But I am a guy who likes binding appointments, so if anyone says f.ex. "within two weeks" and I don't hear anything after two weeks I get nervous.
So it might be not the right company to me.

Perhaps another day everything would be perfect, but I'll never know that ;)
Sorry for the delays guys.. Dave's been sick and will be back up to speed and in the shop on friday.

I must say I am very satisfied with the seller. I called from my home town with no response to my phone or e-mail return. I am now visiting the U.S. in his residence and have called from there with no one answering the business phone. Thank God I placed an order with PayPal because I will be denied the charge today.

Well I would say it is going to be curtains for Current EV Tech then.
Not really good enough not getting in contact. Its not hard to pick up a phone.
Not a single good reveiw yet. Can anyone let us know of a positive experiance?

Refunds are fine but many (if not most) people are going through a process where it costs just to give the money or transfer it, now loosing out on say $30 for each person who orders through the site (assume 2 a week) Thats $60/week $3120/year being lost for no good reason.

I ordered my batteries and MiniBMS just before Christmas.

The batteries arrived almost exactly when Dave predicted - 3 weeks to manufacture, 2-3 weeks to ship from China to New Zealand. Very happy :)

Although the BMS took (much) longer than expected (due to human error possibly due to the Christmas rush :( ) I have now received everything exactly as ordered. It did need a few emails and Skype messages...

I don't know. I have telephoned today again with no one answering. Forgive my English, please. :rolleyes: I am in Seattle (USA Washington) visiting until tomorrow so not so far from his hometown. I have placed the dispute with PayPal for $4K (usd). I know another chap who also did not receive his items and has also done the dispute with credit card. Very unprofessional business for not so many vendors with products Europe needs. It is very discouraging.

I am in need of LiFePO4 cells for my brides motor-scooter but fear the same episode to happen again. Can anyone recommend a business that manufactures custom packs?

I have searched through our orders and can not find an order in your name, nor any order from the Netherlands. I am at the shop daily, including today and there have been no calls from you. I think you may be confused about who you ordered from because we do not even accept Paypal . If your certain you ordered from us feel free to call me at the shop with your order # and I will look into it further.

I have not recieved any calls from Martin, nor have I had any orders from him. I didn't even accept Paypal at the time he claims to have paid by Paypal. I suspect this may be my ex business partner or one of his flunkies trying to destroy my reputation.

Hi Folks,

I ordered the 80kw BLDC motor from Dave, and he quoted 3-6 weeks for delivery. Naturally, I expected closer to 6 weeks, and naturally, the motor has arrived in LA from China at the 3 week mark (when I was out of the country).

If you have a problem with Dave, all you have to do is call him. If Dave says that he has no record of you, then I trust Dave.

I trust Dave as well, he has always picked up my calls and has been very helpful for my conversion projects.
