Hi,

I need a DC/DC converter that accepts between 300 and 400 VDC and outputs standard car voltage of about 13V. Output power should be above 200W. I know of Azure Dynamics product, but they are somewhat reluctant to sell me one as they've recommended me to look elsewhere. There is also one from Brusa that costs about $ 3000 which is slightly absurd price.

Does anyone know of some other suitable converter that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

We are actually a dealer for these https://www.tanicpacks.com/index.php?cPath=76_53&osCsid=036103f8027273b75f5c167275706557

And they are availiable in 220 volt as well. I recommend the 55 amp or the 45 amp one. I talked to them on Friday and they will handle up to 400 vdc in put absolutely no higher though. Price is about 45-90 bucks more for the 110 volt version shown here ( depending on which one you get) Out put voltage is also adjustable from about 13.2- 14.8 vdc. call me or e-mail me [email protected] or 800-728-6976. Take mabey a couple days to get it for you. Plus we charge actual shipping for USPS international Priority mail.

Hmmm, these look like AC/DC converters?

Other thing is they are not watter proof. I'm afraid I would have problems a-testing the vehicle with unsealed 400V electronics
They are AC to DC converters , when you use a dc in put it just by passes the diodes, I have sold a few of these for 144vdc systems and I have them in 2 cars right now (144 vdc system) They have no problem seeing 190 vdc peak at charging. That is why the 220vac version will go to 400 volts input. bot of mine are mounted high under the hood never had an issue with water.
