Hi

I am a newbie looking around for information regarding if I should or not do an EV conversion...
English is not my native language have that in mind..

Is there any setupfiles *a2l or *.dbc-files out there for some of the OEM communication units.
How is it with diagnostic opportunities in different controller/ECU/DCUs with corresponing software applications.
How about doing forced loadtests or commutationtests on the vehicle for faultfinding as controlling actuators.
How about parameteradjustments for mapping when you want more perfomance or change a treshold to fit your application.
Is there a software application that admit you to do logging of signals and parameters as viewing maps in realtime in correlation to external sensors(ampclamp) via DAQ-logger.

I have tons of questions but I start with the ones above...

Suggest you go lurk on OpenInverter. They could probably use your interests and skills.

Most of us here don't have the time or patience to redo what's already been done and you seem to be digging way deeper than what is needed to do a conversion. Typically a conversion is not a software project.

We avoid issues vs intentionally look for, or create, ones to solve.

Wow !
Remy_martian you showed up some impressive skills.....
A presentation of ignorance in its purest form of art.

If you plan to live with your vehicle for a long time you are propably going to end up with some kind of problems.
No matter how well designed the product are, well I suspect that I will have some problems.
That is the reason to why manufacturers develop guided diagnosticwith events and user friendly platforms for testing .

By your answer I can tell that 🙈🙉🙊 you do not technically understand the purpose to why you would like to have theese possibilities ! I can tell you that my questions is not about designing software it is for looking at anomalies over time or when faultfinding and to adjust tresholds for extended perfomance or lifespan of the system.

How to crimp a highvoltage cable or how to avoid EMC interference from your hardware layout is of minor concern to me. But before starting my build I want to look at the market and after that hopefully choose a good combination of products.
If I am building something it will stay with me for a long time and as a fact everything breaks down by time.
