DIY Electric Car Garage - Need Input

I'm currently designing the DIY Electric Car Garage. It's a place where you can "park" your EV and others can view it.

I have a list of the fields I'm going to capture for the EV. Here is the current set:

Name
Make
Model
Year
Batteries
Controller
Motor
A/C
Power Steering
Brake Assist
Range @55mph
Charge Time
Max Power (watts)
Top Speed
Accel Time (0-60 or 1/4mi)
Donor Cost
Conversion Cost
Date Started
Date Finished
Date Added
Date Update
Other Notes
Main Photo
Other Photos

Is there anything I missed?

Thats looks great! Maybe a section on true homemade EV components or something, but it looks like a great list. I can't wait for this!
- with batteries, will there be fields to list how many in series, how many in parallel, and what type they are?

- 'gearbox' section with 'stock transmission' as default, 'none/direct drive' as an option, and a user entry field with 'other:'

-'suspension' section with 'stock' as default and a user entry field with 'other:'

-'other modifications' section so prod owners can brag about graphite bushings, carputer installs, custom switches, etc.

Hope that helps :)

I think that list would be fine! Any other information that needed to be added could be put in the "other notes" space . thanks for your hard work ! J.W. :)
Final Weight
Tire specs
Range for city driving or range @ 30 mph. (Ain't no way the Forkenswift would go 55 unless if was going down a mountain that it was towed to the top of)
DC/DC converter
Main pack charger
Battery Monitor (ie PakTraker, Emeter, Link10 etc)
Link to website of vehicle/conversion log

Maybe break batteries down into
Battery Type (Flooded PbA, AGM, Gel, NiCad, NiMH, Lithium whatever)
Battery Pack Voltage
Battery Pack Capacity (and C rating for that capacity)
Battery Model
so there could be advanced searching.

I've got the platform selected and the screens designed. I also have the vbulletin integration down so we can do single sign-on (no need to login again). I'm trying to balance a really nice, easy interface with all of these fields. I'll try to break it down as much as possible while still keeping it simple.

Great feedback so far! Thanks everyone!
Just thought I'd give you guys an update.

I got really excited this weekend and did a ton of work on this. It's looking good and I'm really excited to see it get filled full of EVs. If everything goes well, I could have it available as soon as the end of this weekend. Worst case scenario would have it ready by the 4th of July.

Thanks!
When I do finally start converting my car, it'd be nice to have a place to log my progress. Just space for descriptions of what I did, pictures, and maybe links to YouTube. That may be out of the scope of the "DIY Car Garage", but just an idea...
Looking forward to it! There is something like 700 active members now and if even 1/7 of them posted their cars, that would mean oodles of searchable detailed EV conversions!
I added a link in to the build thread of an EV so that when browsing the garage, if you find an EV that's interesting, you can go straight to the progress/discussion thread.

Also I'm going to need a few people that are willing to test this and give me some feedback before we open it up to everyone. This may include a few database resets so those if you who are testing, know that you may have to resubmit your info a few times! It's for the greater good, of course, so I know you'll have no problems with it :)

Sweet. Let me know if I could be a victim. My EV isn't done yet, but I have enough design data and calculations to fill up a lot a things. And I even have pictures.
That's perfect. I've designed it to handle projects in the works as well as completed ones.
I'll guinea pig it for you too with my motorbike :p
i think you should have a section on the front page that shows newly added EV's and recently updated ev's kinda like this site... www.cardomain.com i enjoy knowing who has recently updated, so i can follow some one's project, and see new projects as they are added

i have a profile there for my ev...i post progress when i have any...its been a while since a post because i'm having trouble putting pictures on my computer right now.

but maybe you can grab a few ideas off that site
electric85 - That's definitely coming.

I'm building a little widget that shows the most recent update to the garage.
Just a little update...

I've been hard at work on the garage this past week getting everything together. It's really coming along and I hope to be able to get people testing by the end of this weekend.

Awesome! I am will be taking better pictures of all my components this weekend for my blog. I realized today that I only had pics of my motor and controller, and nothing on the rest of the EV guts I have collected.
90% done. Just getting the final bits of security and vBulletin integration in.

I think you guys are really going to like it!
Sooooo excited :)
Indeed! :D
