Hi

I'm planning to make my uncle an electric trolley to help him with his farm work. He was involved in a car accident recently, so he can no longer carry much around. Does anyone know what might be a good, reliable motor for this? I'll be using two motors, as I plan to use differential steering. The maximum speed will only need to be around 2km/hr (with load). I see that a few folks around here use forklift motors, but I think they might be an overkill for my trolley. Perhaps two decent 0.5hp motors?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

You want electric wheelchair motors - in fact you want a busted wheelchair to make the trolley out of - contact your local mobility place and ask if they have any they are going to scrap off
