Thanks for accepting me
I am currently running air compressors on my service trucks using brush type me1004 motors by moto energy at 24vdc, system works good accept for the brushes hang up in the aluminum holders and i have to remove and clean at least twice a year
So time to up the game! I now would like to run A sevcon gen 4 48v/450a controller and a me1306 brushless mtr by moto energy. Should be a simple set up, one direction, 1800rpm, soft start if possible, 48 volts. run from an open closed contact on air pressure switch. anybody out there I could hire to help me learn the system?
also need info on the plug for this controller and will need the software.

Sounds simple enough. I would setup Sevcon to use a potentiometer throttle and an interconnect switch. Then adjust the throttle range and pick resistor value so that it would put out 1800rpm. The rest is just tuning. Either way, you will need quite a bit of controller programming, so brace yourself

I don't think you'll get much support from the distributors. I would say a better approach would be to find someone local to program the thing for you. Have you bought the motor/controller kit yet ? There may be an option to get one with the resistive throttle programmed, then it will be just a matter of picking the right resistor to get you 1800RPM and you won't need to program it much at all. Your application is nearly identical to use for hydraulic pumps, same deal of running at constant RPMs once activated.
