Hi all, I've recently complete an installation of a free standing elevator which had a battery rescue system fitted, this could run the compete elevator system.

The way this was achieved was by having a battery pack connected to a 24vdc to 240vac inverter which then fed its single phase supply into a vvvf inverted which was able to generate a 3 phase output to the motor.

This has peaked my interest in battery power and I would really love to try and build a ev to commute to work and back but I have lots of questions and don't know where to start ?
