My employer is installing charging stations! I can monitor my EV's charging current from ChargePoint's webpage, and can even setup my account to text message or email me when my car is fully charged, or if a fault occured (over current, GFI, unplugged unexpectedly).

There is the standard "level II" EV charging cord, and a "level I" 115v 16A outlet behind a lockable door. The door unlocks when you swipe your ChargePoint card. I don't know if these will be free charging stations, or if we will have to pay, but still pretty sweet to have rock star parking!

Anyone know where to buy the standard EV charging receptacle?

Awesome thanks,
I knew I saw it somewhere.

I'm glad the stations have a 115v outlet, so atleast I can start using it right away.

Has anyone integrated the J1772 socket? I believe the plug has a certain resistance across the small two pins to tell the car charger what current rating the circuit breaker has. Then I believe the car will tie one of those pins to ground to get the juice flowing.

I'm not allowed to say how many employees we have, but we are a large company. There are four of us with EV's, and another 3 people I know of planning to buy the leaf.

The new building is the one with the fancy charging stations, the other buildings have 20A outlets installed.

If I switch to the J1772 socket, I would need the plug for charging at home too!

So how many employees does the company have, and how many of them have EV's?

Those plugs aren't cheap, are they - lucky you only need the socket...

I tested the charging station out.

One thing I'm a bit dissapointed with is I can only pull 14 amps. As soon as I go to 14.5 amps on my charger, the charging statation faults out on over current.

The display on the station reads 1.305kw when my charger reads 14.5A. This seems to be the max current, a bit on the weak side.

I also wonder why 1.305kw doesn't match the 14.5 amps displayed on my charger.
