Is it normal to order a Thundersky battery from a vendor and not hear anything for over two weeks?

No e-mail, no reply, no tracking number, nothing. All I have is an order number. I allready sent an e-mail to cancel the order, and I'm heading to the bank to reverse the charge.

I consider most on-line shopping to require some sort of automatic response, esp if the vendor is on vacation or overworked. Modern technology is there so people can see results instantly, not wait two weeks and still here nothing.

Am I wrong?

Where did you order from? Yes, I'd expect responses from them as to the time and shipping so you can track and all that sort of stuff. If they have a lead time it should be made perfectly clear that a wait is in order. With all the problems in the past your reaction is perfectly acceptable.

Hey Gotti,

I'm not gonna slam the vendor here as he advertises here. Maybe on vacation or....?

Just a little frustrated with this and my controller is in the shop for months now. Borrowing a Curtis upgraded to 650 amps till mine gets back. Even then, I'm wanting to up my voltage. The front of the truck needs some weight! Thing rides like a dump truck! And I still have a short to the trucks frame from condensation? so I can't use the MiniBMS end board till I fix the short. The MiniBMS modules work great even with the short.

If it's anything related to China, they have been on Vacation for Chinese new year. I believe they are back to work very soon if not already. The same can happen to domestic vendors as well, I had the same thing happen with one of my orders because they made the mistake of thinking someone else had replied to my inquiery. Honest mistake that has now been answered, just keep trying.

I'd be more than a little frustrated because the money spent on Lithium batteries is no small investment. It's huge. A hundred bucks here or there is not near an issue as is thousands or tens of thousands. We don't have the money and resources as a few others I know of have and every bit counts and would stop a conversion in it's tracks if one got screwed. Might even end a conversion. Ouch. I don't expect you to make it public who but they must remain in contact.

Well, I was only buying one, as a spare for one I thought was going bad, which so far isn't, but I did want to get another 20 to fit in the front. I'll probably go with Elite Power Solutions as they got my first 45 batteries here in less than a week.

I almost canceled a $1200 BMS order cause the owner never contacted me. I actually think he forgot about the order cause after weeks of e-mails I finally got an order form and had the BMS unit two weeks later as was promised when I first sent the money!

Cool BMS though, touch screen and BMS 1/4? amp shunting. Have it removed during my shorted pack era I'm going through, but it'll be back in soon. Not sure if I should pull the MiniBMS or use it as a backup. I really like the MiniBMS. Plus it'll shut off the charger whereas the wicom has a relay they want in between the charger and pack. My charger would blow if it was disconnected from the pack while charging! I was going to install it on the AC side.

I got the WICOM Touch screen BMS. $1200. http://lithiumstorage.com/index.php?main_page=page&id=34 It has a 7.5" screen, one Computer Control Module (CCM) and for my system, 4 Data Collection Modules (DCM). Each DCM can handle 16 batteries.

Mine is set for two ten battery DCM's, and Two 13 battery DCM's. 46 total batteries. They need to know the battery box configuration, type of batteries, ect... to make the system fit your vehicle.

I'm looking at getting one of those $2500 programmable controllers? with the clear case you can see through. I'm sure someone here knows who I'm talking about. Friend of mine bought one and loves it. Upgradeable amps for more $$$ but all it is, is a program upgrade? I'd really just like to have my Zilla back and some more Thundersky's!

Looked for the ep1000 almost caught site of one on E-bay, but it was an old auction.

That would probably be the Warp Drive controller. They do look nice and it's an interesting feature to be able to buy more power without having to swap the controller.
