We are looking for someone in Anchorage that would be interested in doing maintenance on our electric vans. We have 2 vans in Anchorage that are used as hotel shuttles. The vans are based on the Dodge Promaster 3500 with our drivetrain installed. Let's talk!

Talk to a Forklift dealer in Anchorage.

There is very little difference between the drive systems for vehicles and forklifts.

I see several companies that have the expertise needed.

Dont bother talking to Crown , they won't. ( Strict company policy )

But some of the smaller companies could , or they might have a tech with some free time on the weekends.

Well, here is the issue. Because the vans have been "modified" most garages don't want to touch them. We had one garage up there and they complained they could never get ahold of us because of the time difference (4 hours). They were always trying to call at 5-6 PM.

Here is the problem for a lot of garages, the van weighs about 8000 lbs and not many garages have a lift that can handle that. (Though a lot of the work can be done on the ground.) Plus few have a charging station. And almost all of them have a fear of the unknown.

Electric Forklift Guy, that is a good idea, I will check into them.
