Ed, have you seen these 3 wheelers that can also be
done as electics? Here are the links:

They all have the same configuration as the Doran. I
am thinking about a Vortex possibly in the future.

Interesting you mention these! I just came across this three-wheeler:

Would make a nice EV, but why would "vaporized gasoline" make a
difference if you'd already expect >100mpg from what is basically a
fully-enclosed trike...and how can it compete for the Automotive
X-Prize if it would be classified as a motorcycle in most states?

And then there's http://rqriley.com/xr3.htm - drop the hybrid system
and you can probably get rid of that black thing on its nose.
