Audi is pushing a PHEV or will be pushing at the ongoing tokyo motorshow

I hope they show a real car since that image is only an illustration.
It would be interesting if someone like Audi could commit to an EV
people would actually buy like GM's Volt. The more we get to commit the
more the others will panic and join :)

I've said before that when Ferrari announces a car with an electric
drivetrain then the war has been won :) but maybe sooner if they are
stubborn. I would love to be a fly on the wall of board rooms these days

"Thanks to the navigation system's ability to detect differences in altitude
along the route, regeneration phases as well as the increase in energy
requirements on inclines can be computed before the journey has even
started. This also makes for particularly efficient vehicle operation by
harnessing the electric motor to optimum effect."

This sounds very interesting. I'd like to know what the impact of such
computer prediction would be.

probably a mockup like the GM Volt and not a working car but we can hope
it's a promise they intend to keep
