Well my Kelly Controller came the other day and The first thing I seen to
notice is.. And tell me if I am wrong,, Do you guys use the chassis of your
cars for the ground?? I would have thought that that would have been more
dangerous than running a separate wire..
Your Commits please.

Are you saying that one side of the traction battery is grounded to the case
of the controller? That would not be a good thing, IMO.

I was under the impression that these cheapies were a Chinese knockoff of
Curtis controllers, but if I read you aright, that can't be. AFAIK, Curtis
has never built a controller in which the traction battery was tied to
ground.

OK it looks like the pos lead goes to the motor and then the controller. I
was thinking that there would be both a pos and neg out from the controller
. So ok the chassis is not the ground .. The on off switching of the
controller must be done on the neg side only.
