[EVDL] Cold weather EV operation

Hi Folks,
Here in Reno we are still driving our Gvans even when the morning
temps are in the single digits. They have a diesel fuel heater and
flooded NiCads. I notice little degradation in range. I think a fuel
burning heater is the way to go, I may investigate bio-diesel in the
future, as I only go through a couple 7 gallon tanks in a winter. Bill

If anyone is interested, I still have the Stewart-Warner "South Wind"
gasoline heater that came in my Comuta-Van. It worked and put out *lots*
of heat, but I didn't like the idea of burning gasoline in my EV.
Contact me off-list if you're interested.
