Hey Rod,
That site is almost as old as me ;-) He still lists his "competitor"s White Zombie as a 13+ second car. While the Maniac Mazda is
listed as a "competitor", there's no data on the linked page :-O I would venture to guess back when that stuff was posted it was
good for the cause to list so many vehicles not neccessarily in your class. And furthermore, he has no posts or claims for 2007
to base your previous statement of not running better than 12 seconds on. It may or may not be true but your point is made, a
website annoucing records that is outdated, is wrong. At least all the claims are tagged with a date, but that doesn't help when
the public goes rampanty perusing the page. Its good to preserve the history, but it it should be on a "Historical" page. On the
other hand thats all this page seems to be. If he just deleted the '07 off the title line, would you still have the beef?

Derek,
I think David meant that although the current Eliminator's record is 8.8 seconds, its still slower (e.g. "below") than the
KillaCycle's 8.16 seconds. If anyone doubted claims to records they should probably be directed to
http://www.nedra.com/record_holders.html with the top two records in question posted right at the top of the page. To be fair,
the vehicles are in different classes. But the "Fastest 1/4 mile electric" is currently Killacycle. (unless you count rail gun
launched volkswagens :)

You brought up a point I missed about Wildman's previous post. The reference to running low 12's does seem to apply to the Berube
S-10. I haven't heard anything about the Curent Eliminator this year. Dennis made reference in a previous post to her crying in
the garage. :-(
