I know people have expressed an interest in these in the past and we can now
offer you both the J1772 Inlet as well as the J1772 communication box for
your EV!

This will allow you to use public EV charging infrastructure near you.
They are available at the link below.

Hey all,

Make sure that you understand that the J1772 charging stations cannot work with a 120vac charger,
only 240 vac. If the charging station happens to have a Level 1 Plug, like the Chargepoint charger
has, then fine you can charge at 120 vac. But the Blink and AeroVironment do NOT have 120vac plugs,
only J1772 240vac. If you count on the ground in the J1772 to be the neutral, you'll trip the GFCI
in the Charger... ask me how I know....

Here in Tucson, ECOtality had a presentation, showing their new Blink charger off, it was plugged
into a Leaf. But the other end of the charger, supply end, was plugged into a 120v line (120vac was
running some bells and whistles LCD display). It was not actually charging.... they still do not
have a working prototype. It was announced that they will install the first chargers in Tucson in
April... They are using the REMA Plugs.

Which version of the Blink charger are you referring to?

I have a Blink EVSE installed in my garage for my Nissan LEAF today.

It was installed as part of the EV Project roll out.

Thanks!

Doug,
Charging stations are nonexistent round here. How do I plug my Volt
into one of the 220V outlets that exist in vast profusion? I have the
J1772 plug that came with the car. I expected a plug that I could
simply adapt to 220, but it has a box on it to check out the power-
GFI and Polarity at least. Probably other annoyances as well.
