The reason I didn't receive it is that it was sent to the wrong address.
The address
[email protected] is a sacrificial spam magnet. Anything sent
there goes straight to the bit bucket. I receive EVDL mail at another
address, which I keep private.
Check my signature - it tells you how to get an address that will reach me.

I haven't seen this effect. Since mail from the EVDL is plain text, I don't
think that it's anything the list itself is doing.
More likely it's your mail client deciding that some text in the messages
should be highlighted for some reason. (My mail program does something like
that - it shows lines with > prepended in red color.)
Anybody else using Mozilla to read EVDL mail? Do you see this effect?
This is off topic, so I don't want to put too much list bandwidth into it.
Please respond directly to Steven and CC or BCC me at my private address
(see my sig ;-).
Thanks.
