The IRS is requiring any donation over $5K be appraised. One of our associates donated his EV to a High School that competes in NEAT and the Smartt Challenge. I wrote an evaluation report where I calculated its "fair market" value. However, I am not a licensed appraiser and so my work may not fly with the IRS.

Has anyone had their vehicle appraised by a licensed appraiser?
