I think they're betting that if they over specify the battery that
they can get way with never charging the batteries to full capacity.
So they're never balanced (top or bottom to avoid a lively
discussion). They just take and release a specified amount of energy.
I'd like to see some data as to how many cycles you lose wit this
approach, or if there is some dumb technology to be sure that one cell
doesn't die without detection and ruin the pack (and your day).
