Where in California? It is kinda big here, you may need an entire
weekend just to drink coffee with a person somewhere else in this
state.
I explained before to a friend that came to California and asked
to meet, that it is the same as saying that you come to West-Europe
and you want to meet up because the other is also living in
West-Europe.
However, if you are flying into Barcelona and the other is living
in Amsterdam, then you will have a long drive....
(Spain, France, Belgium and The Netherlands for those interested)
Anyway - here in the San Francisco Bay area is an EV-hotspot, so
if you are in this area then there are several EAA chapters to
potentially meet up with, plus many individuals.
Pity you are not here next weekend, as this Saturday the Palo
Alto EV show and rally is held.
Unfortunately I will be away to Promise Keepers in Fresno that day,
scheduled to return around 5 PM, so I may park my EV at the show
(like I did last year) and not be present myself. Bummer.
Last year I missed a close-up with the Tesla Roadster.
I am in Sunnyvale near San Jose in the South Bay.

sorry for the copy of that mail to Wayland I sent to the list.
it was not that private anyway, and I just as well make it public...
I am traveling to the US in september and plan to meet with some of the members of the list. I extend the request/invitation also to the rest of the members of the list. If you are interested you can end up included in my research for technology transfer I need to apply for tech-related grants from the government. I am planing on visiting California and Oregon somewhere around sept 12.
Sorry for the oops and thanks for helping
