<<< I *have* built controllers! Most other parts of EVs as well (chargers,
DC/DC converters, instrumentation, battery managment systems, etc.)!

I am trying to give Dan (and others) the benefit of my experience, to
save them time and money on things that don't work. Whenever my advice
says that something won't work, I also try to provide guidance on how to
change it or what to add to fix the problem.

And, I am building EVs myself, and helping others build theirs. >>>

The problem is you're not charging for expert advice, so those who
receive it apply no value to it. Those of us who have used and valued
it know you are well-meaning and do not follow typical engineers'
mindset. You may just have to accept that some who think they are
"outside the box" may actually be "outside the frying pan", and wait
for them to pay, even if payment is simply respect for experience.

Aha! I think you've hit the nail on the head! Since they got the
information for free, it is of no value. Since it has no value, there is
no point in heeding it

I prefer to think of my information as "priceless"!

Hey, some of us newbies appreciate appreciate advice from those more
experienced than us! We aren't all working on the "I'm right, you're
wrong" approach!

I don't know about "priceless", but certainly worth way more than I'm
paying you (or than I could afford).

Advice is free until you take it. Those of us who have seen its value,
have often taken it. We are among the monthly contributors to the EV2
project.

OMG what happened? Dan, you were doing so good.
I like what you are trying to do and I am MOST interested in the why of
each component in a circuit.

this quote comes to mind

I appreciate everything Lee has said,done, and helped me with. He is a
rare individual who helps without keeping score or ever getting
"excited". Very level headed and open. In my years I have learned
something about engineers, The inexperienced or less knowledgeable are
the ones that evangelize an idea and can't accept any critizim, they
don't even consider they might be wrong. This becomes tempered over the
years with experience. Even though they know more, they are more secure
and are willing to listen to discussion, more willing to explain, and
aren't threatened by new ideas. I have see this in
mechanical,electrical,computer and software engineers and suspect it is
true other areas of expertise.

He provides great answers, to all, equally, even if he has answered the
same thing over and over and over and ....

It is no coincidence that expert and experience sound similar, they come
from the same Latin root.

I have a few designs of my own but I haven't posted them because they
are not tested. Your name is forever associated with it on the net.
