The Raptor controller uses a tachometer sender that shines a light on
any rotating motor part with 2 white stripes on it and creates a pulse
from the reflected light. It connects to the controller through an
RJ11 phone plug. My sender has been damaged and I'm wondering if
anyone has one they'd be willing to part with.

Or maybe someone might know what the components are to build one.

Thanks,

I am also interested, because I have a DCP Raptor 600
sitting on a shelf with an inductive throttle but no
tach sensor.
The manual states that it has an Infrared source and
detector, so it sounds like a TV remote or laptop unit
for IR communication was used.
I expect that only the LED and detector themselves are
connected (via 4 wires?) to the phone plug.

I do not see a schematic of it in the DCP manual.

Peter doesn't have any. Cor, you are right on all counts. The tach
sensor isn't necessary to run the Raptor. It can keep from overrevving
the motor, but there are lots of ways to overrev that it can't
control. (Like downhill in too low a gear.) The Raptor will drive a
tach if you have the sender hooked up.
