I got my first Adapter Plate from EA about 15 years ago and Shari was
very helpful on the phone with me even though I pestered her for hours
trying to decide between a 6.7" and a 9" motor. Back the, knowing
nothing and not having the web, I got most of my information from
home power magazine which Shari wrote articles for .Years later, I
put together one of EA's Porsche kits and was in awe of the detail
that went into the instructions and fabricated parts ( at that time I
had already done more than a few one off conversions) . There are
people out there disguised as EV business's that are just in it for
the money but they are after big fish , not people buying parts for
conversions . This is a good example of how fast life will kick you
to the curb once you trip and don't get up fast enough. I hope they
can pull it together , maybe Mike could write one last book ,, " why
you don't want to go into EV's as a business" . I am sure they
haven't made enough money from their EV conversion business to retire.
I'd even be surprised if they could afford any kind of "Health
Care"...
Wishing them the best,
Steve Clunn
