I am sure this has been asked before...but since I am new to the list and
there are so MANY messages to try to search through...please forgive me for
asking this:
Is there a best or just "better" year/model S-10 for converting? Sounds
like the long-bed is the winner for size and battery placement, although the
extended cab is better (IMO) for safety and interior confort.
I am weighing the benefits of getting a lower mileage S-10 and taking the
motor out and doing a CNG conversion and use it for home power backup versus
getting a higher mileage (or dead motor) model and save the money.
Any thoughts or suggestions for a 1st timer?
