[EVDL] tax credit reduction

Hello

So in 2005, you could claim up to 10% cost of your EV
up to $4,000...but in 2006 they lowered it to a cap of
$1,000.

Was this because they got sandwiched in with all the
tax-credits for the hybrids?

Does anyone know the future of this tax credit?
