Rush,
I must say that although I was sporting the Husted Special flame job on my motors, your display stand is quite impressive. I
oughtta build two of those so I can wheel my motors around the garage just to look at them (although I still want to mount them on
my mantle, but my boss says otherwise ;-) I know Jim thinks I'll never use them, but I blame it on waiting for batteries (unless
Dick Brown is reading and cna put a rush on the order ;-)
Your instrument panel is set up quite nicely as well. Outstanding even. One suggestion I picked up between last years show and
this year's show, and it really works well, is to put a description of each component right on or near the piece. That way you
won't have to stand there and say "This is the Motor...this is the controller...this is the charger..." 1000 times throughout the
day. Year before last I didn't have the labels, and about lost my voice. This year I had the labels on everything and instead of
describing parts, I could go directly to answering questions. People generally read the info first, understood what all the parts
were, and really came up with some good questions.
If you have the resource to make copies you could take a whole bunch of these:

Painting the motor was a good idea. Be careful though or Jim will be trying to hire you just so he can keep his head above water
with all the EV disciples flocking to get the doctor to touch their motor, he he
Don't be hesitant to send out a press release to all the papers and TV news stations, about what you'll have there to show off.
Some of the local eclectic weekly rags too are usually interested, and typically are more wiling to do a more detailed and in
depth story if you have one to share with them. The "Big City" Post might give you 3 lines :-(
Good luck at the show.
