I've done some work on the site and now the VEVCS database/map is
operational. You can browse the map for charging stations in your area,
then click "Submit a station" to volunteer your outlet to fellow EVers.

I like it. Did someone already submit the Phoenix area
stuff and not California? It's all copied from what
I've submitted to EV Charger News (PHX area),
including the sites that are long gone, though it does
say which are not operational.

I submitted my location.

I have never been able to view this. Whenever I click on it, I just get his
blog page and it's totally blank. Any ideas anyone?

I can see it in my 64bit seamonkey browser on gentoo linux; Are you more
off mainstream than that?

Looks like it uses javascript based google mapper in a frame, Perhaps
check your browsers javascript settings. The only settings I have
enabled are to let javascript "change status bar text","change images"
and "disable or replace context menus". The page did not trigger the
popup blocker.

I also have java enabled but there are no java processes running when I
visit that page.

It only works for me with mozilla/firefox both at work
and home. I'm running win2000server IE6 at home, and
XP Pro, IE7 at work, and at both places, I have to use
Mozilla/Firefox to view it. I hope it can be figured
out, as it would be cool to see alot of individuals
post volunteer charging stations, maybe even plan an
EV trip once it's nicely populated.

Hey Brandon,
I have the same issue: IE6 shows a blank under the
blog heading "Charging Stations", while FireFox
neatly displays the map with pointers.

It looks like only a few locations from EVchargernews
were imported, a few entries around Oakland in CA,
but the entire Southbay, San Francisco and Northbay are
empty.
Did you try to load all entries from EVchargernews or how
do you expect to load your database?
