I think the law is directed towards production EVs that will be driven at
least 50 miles per day.

Conversions are considered a hobby car and the government and power
companies do not even consider conversions viable and never shake the hobby
kit car label.

I wouldnt even doubt that the charging stations will exclude any car without
a j1772 plug in and have a bms that can talk to the charging station.

yes owning 8 evs and paying $100 per car would not be fair.

I think that is best argument for not having the tax.
