Do self-service car junkyards have hydrids and EVs available to pick parts from? A year or two ago the one I go to had Priuses in a separate area, and they were gone, later.
There are hundreds of startups fighting for junk EV batteries
Generally the packs are gone before the hulk even hits the wrecker
only way around would be to buy a full salvage title EV but do to the trade imbalance foreigners will way overpay for a junk EV making it nearly impossible to win
If you check car part.com you may find a less desirable plug in pack (usually volt) at a reasonable price already removed
