New paint, interior and top by pros. I did the conversion with best parts (I'm a EE). Ten new Interstate deep-cycle batteries, custom cables, Curtis controller, D&D motor. Digital voltmeter and analog ammeter on dash. Adjustable rear air shocks add stability. Retains the stock transaxle so can be changed back easily. Range 30 miles, top speed 60+

Pics here I hope: Let me know and I can take more. Open to reasonable offers.

Location Woodbury, MN. I have a good shipper if needed.

Thats a really pretty bug! Swapping out the controller and lead would make it a real showpiece. I hope you find a buyer! Keep us posted.

Very beautiful car! Can you give a price range you are looking for? I think whoever buys it would also have to convert it to lithium.
I have $9k in it. I've seen VWs of this vintage on eBay for 5k-15k, depending on condition. If I keep it I'd probably wait until the batteries die, and then swap in a VW or Porsche engine. But I need the garage space now.
