I have this 1989 Toyota Tercel Coupe which I think would make a great donor towards a EV conversion even though it has an automatic transmission. When the car was running, the transmission was very grabby - nice and tight. Clean title, Non-Op Status.
The engine in this car is a lost cause even though it's had tons of work put into it. Mainly because of computer issues and/or the nature of the "variable venturi carburetor" Sad but true. I just don't want to see it go to the wrecking yard without a chance for a new life.
Straight Body, small, lightweight aerodynamic. Needs new seats, maybe a paint job. All glass is good. Steers good. Fairly clean all around. Great tires (fronts are almost new). Great brakes etc. Again, tons of work had been done to keep this car going.
Make offer. Cash or trade. I would love to trade for a Tesla Battery module (or two) - one can hope.
