Hello Everyone

I am looking into converting my 1980 Ford Pinto into an EV. I do not want to spend a crazy amount of money but I would like it to be a decent EV at the same time. Right now I am just looking for some general info. I ordered a book online and I will do research on the subject. I would like to be able to go on the highway but if I am limited to around town driving then that would be ok. I was thinking of using an old forklift to get parts from.

I guess any general info on where i want to start looking and what options I have for the pinto would be great.

Thanks!

Well at least that way it won't explode. :p

Here's where to start:

This has lots of general info on how to calculate your needs, what parts you'll need, etc. What kind of range are you looking to get? That will be one of the biggest factors in establishing a cost and performance expectation.
