I have the following motor and controller for sale. Both are brand new, never been run or connected and have only been taken out of the box for photographs.

Yasa P400HC 9500 GBP plus VAT (20%)

Sevcon Gen 4 Size 10 3950 GBP plus VAT (20%)

The P400HC is the high power variant of the latest Yasa motor, capable of running, so they claim, at 100kW for 24 hours a day. Peak power is 160kW if I recall.

Based at Silverstone in the UK.

Hello I am interested. We are a school team in the US and are in need of this because our encoder on our Yasa 400 went bad.
is Price negotiable?

Hi Mike I also have several of these motors, some of which i may want to sell, or preferably part exchange. Can you set up the controller for these motors, and would you be interested in doing so for me. And can you tell me why you want to sell, have you utilized another motor type for your project and if so why, or do you have any further EV parts available, or prepared to swop. Sorry to ask so many questions, but i am not fully conversant on the electronics/motor types, and your answers may give me a better insight into my own project. Thanks in advance, yours Dave

Hi Dave,
I'm wondering if you have a spare Position sensor to sell for the motors? That would be BIG help our competition is in 60 days and ours just broke down

I also have some knowledge about SEVCON and Cascadia Motions (What I am using right now, WAY better than sevcon) I would be happy to exchange info
Hi Aymen
I bought a lot off stuff from somebody else'es abandoned project, including several motors, but i would be reluctant to split the motor for parts and would want to sell whole. I would rather hang onto them at the moment, but if you do get stuck, i would let one off the used motors go for £3500 + VAT, but i think exporting to the States is VAT free, so a 20% saving. I have not dealt directly with Yasa, but would have assumed you could just order your sensor or similar direct, obviously this must not be the case, are they difficult to deal with, or have they ceased trading, I am hoping to couple 2 motors together, for my own project, but at approx. 400v to give similar power to a single unit at 700v. I will look up Cascadia now, and keep in touch. yours Dave

I have turned a yasa with a cascadia motion rinehart pm100dx, you will need -sp rework to get the encoder working. And do you know those motors function? Can you send pictures? [email protected] for easy communication.

Edit: Contacting yasa is useless because they won't answer emails or calls. I have family in UK that tried as well. And the encoder is made by Sumida. It is called an Eddy Current RPS that is special design and not available to the public.
