About me: just retiring from about 40 years with NASA. Own 6 year old Tesla Model S and love it as a road trip cruiser.
About cars: want an EV roadster as second vehicle for commuting, recreating, and short overnight trips. Used Tesla roadsters are interesting, but for me and spouse, leg-head-shoulder-luggage room is insufficient, like Lotus Elise from which they derive. Also they are more targa top than true roadster, and space for top when removed is lost luggage space. So, have just acquired a Miata MX-5, which has just enough leg-head-shoulder-luggage room and is a true soft top roadster with quick-drop top. It's great, but who really needs a clutch pedal or shift lever?
