I’m planning to build a recumbent bicycle, using a Grin Tech GMAC.
I’m wondering if anyone is using the latest Tesla/Panasonic 70mm length batteries?
I’ve got lots of room for batteries. Would like to have a pack that has around a 50 mile charge. The recumbent will weigh around 75Lbs, less batteries. I’m also using a horizontal steering fork, with a 20” wheel and a 26” rear wheel. I’m connecting the pedal crankset to a brushless motor, for charging batteries and also have an option to directly power the rear hub motor. There will be no drive system connection to the wheel, only indirectly.
Thanks,
Giovanni

GMAC - Grin Kits - Product Info
The GMAC motor is Grin’s customization of the powerful rear MAC motor, modified to run without a clutch for regenerative braking, a huge plus for cargo hauling applications. A round axle and integrated torque arm allow for powerful regen without risk of axle spinout.
