I bought a big die crimper, and don't need this hammer crimper any more. If you only have a few to do, it is an inexpensive solution! retails for $30, selling for $25 with FREE shipping anywhere in US.

did you use this crimper and how well did it work for you?
I did use it, and it does seem to work pretty well... it is just way slower than a big hex die crimper (which costs over $200). If you just have a couple to do, or intend to do just one car, it'll be fine.

especially if you consider buying some pre-done cables that I also don't need since I am moving from lead-acid w/ auto-style posts to the Li cells... you might only need to build a couple cables.

The hammer crimpers work fine if you take your time... just slower.
