Many of you are already aware of the EV Components/ James Morrison / Lithium Depot Scam

This Post is to inform you that Patricia Rose / Kilby / Valdez (AKA "Bethany Matrins") our accountant at EV Components, and her boyfriend Jim Delgado (who also worked for us in Shipping) have started a new company called Headway Headquarters. These two have been helping James Morrison sell off EVC assets in violation of the court injunctions.

I would stongly caution people not to purchase from them. I have contacted Headway and they have not purchased anything from them ,yet they claim to have hundreds of cells, busbars, plastic spacers in stock just as they did with Lithium Depot.

For those of you who are not aware we had James Morrison held in contempt of court for selling EVC assets as Lithium Depot. We made a sting buy and matched the serial # of the batteries we bought to known EVC inventory.

You may remember the name "Bethany Martins" from Lithium Depot as you will see in the screenshots below they were not even smart enough to use a different alias until after I sent them a warning that if they continue to help James sell in violation of the injunctions I would be forced to file contempt of court motions on them.

Hello all,

I know that I will most likely receive ridicule, be slammed, belittled, and other harsh treatment for posting, along with having this post go back to the top for all to see, but I believe that I need to defend our company from false information and insinuations that we are associated with James Morrison.

We are not associated with James Morrison in any way shape or form, and James Morrison has absolutely no ties with Headway Headquarters. It is true; at one time we did work for James. I do not have any problem with answering questions on this forum, in private messages, through email or through phone conversation whichever is most convenient and fall within the rules of the forum.

I am not here to join the ‘bashing’ wagon on James, to create an argument, or to create additional drama in this situation. I am here to defend our company and to shed light on the misinformation that has been passed on. I am truly sorrowful for all those who have been involved in this atrocious, disgusting situation, either directly or indirectly.

I would attach my declaration that was filed in court to shed light on the extent of our involvement with James, but the file is too large to upload. I will continue on working to format the size correctly so that all print can be read clearly. If you would like to see the declaration and exhibits that I provided to the courts, please let me know and I can email them to you in a .zip file.

I was in court on November 19, 2010 only because Dave Kois involved our company in these court proceedings. I do not want to create any resentment or animosity with anyone, in particular with Dave Kois or Mike Willmon, that is far from my intentions here. Again, I am only here defending our company which was started with our own finances and our own ambition with absolutely no help, assistance, guidance, financial support, inventory, assets or anything else that would tie us in any way to James Morrison.

What a bunch of bull...you're asking us to believe that two (former/current) employees of James just happen to start a Lifepo4 business and the stock didn't come from EVC ? Please...
Anyway, easy enough to prove...many of us have contacts at Headway.

Who is a reputable Headway US dealer?

I've just about settled on 40160's for my Fiero conversion....
But now given this news, is there anyone I can safely get a quote from?

Doesn't Headway care that it does not appear they have a reliable US reseller??

If someone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate the help.

Well, one former employee of EVC has left and is running a legit EV parts business. Is there any info available to help us, the prospective EV parts purchaser, figure out which EV businesses are trying to sell goods mired in the EVC dispute vs. those selling new stock not involved in this mess? I'm not worried if they used to work for EVC, I personally know people that used to work for them and left because of the personal issues with the business dealings. I am mostly concerned with how to help others find and avoid those those shops who may still be tangled up in this. I can personally ask a couple of different friends about buying X from Y or if I should pick another source. The thing is, I cannot in good conscience publicly post private e-mail.

Paul- without any doubt I can tell you that Lithium Depot is James Morrison.

Headway Headquarters is Registered to Patricia Kilby/ Rose and a # of other aliases and is being run by her and her boyfriend Jim Delgado. They were working with or helping James Morrison up until at least Oct.25, 2010 by their own admission in court documents. They were selling and shipping Headway batteries in Oct. but did not make a purchase from Headway until the first week of Nov. when they purchased 200 cells. Are they legit ? I'll let you make up your own mind.

The user name "Headway" on this forum is legit. Her name is Michelle and she does work for Headway. Althought she did mention Headway Headquarters as a supplier I'd be willing to bet she would also confirm when Headway Headquarters made their first purchase.

Lithium Storage (Mike Collier) also bought large amounts of batteries from James Morrison as well as his sham company Lithium Depot.

There may or maynot have been other dealers/suppliers that bought from or helped James Morrison but those above are the ones I can confirm without any doubt.

If your looking for a legit retailer of Headway cells either Manzanita Micro or my company can help you.

I am happy that the EV community is as helpful and as close knit as it is. That helps to derail the scam artists who would take our money and run. Good job to everyone who watchdogs these people, we owe you.

That is all I need to know about the company. I want to avoid the individuals and companies that where assisting in the fiasco, but not former employees who where also victims. All the way into October is all the way up to their eyeballs in it as far as I'm concerned. Thanks.

I have contacted HeadwayChina, they confirmed that HeadwayHeadquarters is selling their product and ships directly from US stock and overseas stock. We confirmed this with "Michelle" an employee of Headway. I have read what James Morrison did, he was 100% wrong, he owes many I know money or product. Patricia Rose and Jim Delgado have nothing to do with Morrison, their products come directly from China. You can contact "Michelle" from Headway to confirm.

I wish this board would stop attacking new business that is not connected to the "inner circle". The world of EV's is growing and all companies and organizations have a right at the pie.

Here we go with this "privy" and "inner Circle" talk again. I am not and do not want to be involved with the situation from the past. We support all EV companies that are legit, as far as we know HeadwayHeadquarters is selling batteries from Headway in China.

In regards to Dave's posts, we respect Dave 100%, and would buy from his company just as we would buy from Headway Headquarters.

Let the courts handle the past.

I'll spend my money where I want. I believe in business ethics so I want to know a little more about companies I deal with. I don't care how you spend your money.

Todayican, it appears that you are still under the assumption that Morrison is somehow connected with us. It is simply not true.

Let’s get the facts straight Mr. Kois, and not write assumptions, speculations and whatever else pops in your head and attempt to portray that as fact and truth.

We were not working or helping “Morrison up until at least Oct.25, 2010”. We cut our ties with Morrison when we found out about the bankruptcy trustee wanting to conduct an inventory, which was about 2 weeks prior to them even conducting an inventory, not near the end of October as you are trying to portray. I did admit that I assisted Morrison in my declaration on October 25, but I also had told Mr. Kois of Morrison’s intentions days prior so that it was kept in the light and now Mr. Kois is holding that against me? There are reasons on why I assisted Morrison on October 25, and if asked, I will state the reason, but only a few have actually asked in PM’s.

As stated in my declaration, I even provided Mr. Kois with an invoice for the cells that we had purchased, but yet he makes no mention of that because it does not suit or fit into his theory.

Mr. Kois talks about legit retailers of Headway cells, but fails to mention our company, but is sure to mention his company. On another post on this forum, Michelle from Headway states that Headway-Headquarters and Manzanita Micro are their 2 major resellers here in the US, but makes no mention of Mr. Kois and Current EV Tech.

I will not add fuel to a ‘drama fire’ but I will continue to defend our company and do so with actual facts, not just with assumptions and speculations.

It seems Mr. Morrison is the "bad guy" in all of this drama, he lied and deceived many people, even his own employees. I have read all the posts, all the attacks, and in my opinion it stinks.

What I recommend for all that were connected with Morrison, that currently run their own companies, is to stop this fighting and move on. The market is growing soon there will be plenty of new EV owners looking for supplies, you all can make a buck. Attacking each other just hurts the EV industry. Think about it, does it make any sense to be the "Robin Hood" of the industry? You may be attacking the good guys.

Many NEDRA folks attacked me when I started ECEDRA and still hit me with a bashing post or two when they can. Did it hurt me or my organization? Hell no, we have moved forward and now have concrete plans with sponsors.

I wish you all good luck, lets all stick to a business plan and promote the use of EV's.

Hey Jim,

Other than selling these batteries, what do you really know about lithium batteries besides what is on the datasheets? Have any discharge tests that you've performed? Do you have any direct experience with them in a vehicle? Who provides your technical support?

What DID happen to the EVComponents headway inventory?
