good luck man, I'm getting started on my first ev soon too. That seems like a great rig for ev. Weighs surprisingly only 3,495 pounds. My journey last week till now getting into this ev stuff...I went from dc motor off forklift/building a crontroller/trying to find a dc controller (impossible) to settling on most likely going to buy an AC that comes with the inverter/controller with programming/wiring instructions from a reputable source. I almost bought an expensive DC controller from a sketchy ebay source till I read their reviews on here.
And that's with a cast-iron V8! 1977 is the last model year of the first-generation Bronco. It isn't very big compared to current trucks; it is substantially smaller in every dimension than the new (2021) Ranger-based Bronco. It is also missing the structure required of modern vehicles and the big wheels and tires and piles of "creature comforts" expected by modern buyers.
It's great to start with some goals. How much range, top speed, acceleration, budget, etc. Then you can do your best to work backwards from there to what components will help you meet those goals. Then fill in the rest to make it all actually work under budget.
