Hello fellow EV DTYers. I've started designing an EV conversion of my 2002 Toyota Tacoma. The little 4-banger has given up at 284,000 miles. Won't pass smog. I'd like to get the conversion done quick and cheap. My second The second project is a conversion of an MGA MkII. It's a full restoration, along term project. Expect to hear from me. Thanks

Hi Thom
Converting your Toyota should be considered as "practice" for the MG - conversions are never "quick and cheap" -

The basic ratio is that if you can do it all yourself then a conversion will be half as good as a second hand Leaf and cost twice as much

If you have to pay people then twice as expensive as a brand new Tesla and half as good as a second hand Leaf

Its much more like "Hot Rodding" than anything else

Great for the MG

Not so much for the Toyota
