Chris here
Likely going to be more of a lurker then contributer, but wanted to chime in and say thanks for all the info šš»
I donāt have a vehicle yet, kind of want to get a Jeep of some kind but mainly just collecting parts as I can. Scored six toshiba mg100q2ys1 out of some old vfdās along with caps heartsicks and other odds and ends.
Obviously not using all six in the controller lol but gives me breathing room when I inevitably break them because I donāt know what Iām doing š
Recent ācouldnāt pass up buyā was a 20hp 500v dc motor. From the looks of it, the original owner sent it in for service (cleaned, brushes, seated, balanced, new bearings, painted, ext) have the job sheet and test run results from the shop doing the work. Got returned to the original owner. They never put it back in to service. One thing lead to another, the company I work for bought it in a lot from auction and I bought it from us for scrap value as we donāt have a use for something this size. Itās not what I was looking for for a first go at EV šµ
For batteries Iāve been collecting dead laptop batteries from recycling places near by, not going bad
Anyway, thatās where Iām at in the EV switch
