Hello,

My name is Onteo and im a master electrician doing this for the most part of my life and the late 7 years been located in the US. Since electric cars been introduced i have been fascinated and Tesla peaked my enthusiasm. My main interest is the EV conversions and im eager to learn as much as i can so i can start my own DYI as well...my project that i want to start is a Smart Fortwo '09. Small, compact and lightweight. I know its gonna be really hard to fit things on it but i am really handy on everything and can't wait to absorb the knowledge so i can adapt to the challenge.
Thats all for now, wish everyone good luck on their projects and i really hope for a wider knowledge door to open for me as well.

Welcome!

There is, of course, a way to get a very nicely designed and built electric Smart ForTwo: buy one built by Smart. Not an interesting project, but probably better than anything DIY built and likely cheaper.
